2025 Recap and Winter Updates
As I write this, the farm is sitting beneath a thick blanket of snow. The soil is sleeping and microbes are doing their work on the compost pile. Winter is a restful time but lots happens beneath the surface! The same is true for us farmers, who are hard at work crop planning and setting things up for the growing season which feels right around the corner. 2025 was a great year for the farm. We added more growing space, built two high tunnels, and piloted our CSA program. Right now, we’re crunching numbers, planning more infrastructure projects (cold storage and irrigation for our high tunnels), getting ready to open our CSA sign up, buying seeds and supplies, and in the shop working on refurbishing a Ford Transit Connect to use as our farm delivery/market vehicle! In about a month, we’ll begin starting the first seeds of the new season. We’re so excited for what this year will bring, and can’t wait to get our hands back in the dirt!
